Following the accidental disclosure of the release date of Diablo IV by the Microsoft Store, it was obvious that the PlayStation Store would not want to be any less leaky, so it posted the release date of Street Fighter 6 before CAPCOM officially announced it. On June 2nd, 2023, the highly anticipated newest version of the beloved fighting game series will be available.
The webpage for the retailer offered three different versions of Street Fighter 6. The following are included in the pre-order package for the Standard version:
- Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 Characters
- Special titles and stickers
The Year 1 Character Pass is an addition to the Deluxe Edition, whereas the Year 1 Ultimate Pass is an addition to the Ultimate Edition.
Fans of Street Fighter 6 were undoubtedly hoping for an earlier release date in 2023, but at least they will soon get the opportunity to play the game once again, thanks to the second Closed Beta Test which is scheduled to take place between the 16th and the 19th of December.
During the first Closed Beta Test, Francesco participated in the beta for the game, and he came away wishing he had more time to play.
The closed beta gave the impression that the team sincerely cares about its audience and is working towards releasing the most feature-complete version of Street Fighter to date.
When Street Fighter 6 was first announced, I wasn’t completely sold on it, but after playing the game for two days in a closed beta, my opinion of it has been completely transformed. Although some of the character animations are still a work in progress, the vibrant aesthetics inspired by hip-hop look fantastic when they are put into action.
However, most of the new gameplay mechanics and the cast’s combat design have made my time with the beta, which totals around 15 hours, joyful and has made the wait for the entire game significantly more difficult.
To refresh your memory, Street Fighter 6 will be available for purchase on the personal computer (PC), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, and it will support full cross-play between all of these platforms. In contrast to Street Fighter 6, which utilized the Unreal Engine, it uses the RE Engine and includes a rollback netcode to ensure the best possible online gaming experience.
