The new MSI H610TI-S01 Mini-ITX is a compact and budget-friendly motherboard, much like ASUS’s recently released Pro H610T model. It follows in the footsteps of that model.
With compatibility for both 12th and 13th-generation Intel Core CPUs, the MSI H610 Mini-ITX motherboard is a slim board that nonetheless packs enough power to meet the demands of companies and professionals.
MSI has developed a very tiny Mini-ITX-based motherboard that measures 17 centimeters by 17 centimeters and is compatible with Intel’s 12th generation Core Alder Lake and the more recent Raptor Lake CPUs (6.7 in x 6.7 in). The new board is exclusively powered by an external 19V DC power converter and comes with HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB ports.
In a dual-slot configuration, the new MSI H610 Mini-ITX motherboard is compatible with DDR4 RAM operating at speeds ranging from as low as 2133 MHz to as high as 3200 MHz. There is just one M.2 interface available, and the maximum amount of memory can be handled onboard is up to 64 gigabytes. Regarding the M.2 interface, ITHome says that the MSI H610I-S01 motherboard has compatibility issues with the M.2 SSD mounted on the heatsink of the chipset, and it is unknown whether or not there will be issues after the product is released.
The MSI H610 Mini-ITX motherboard is compatible with Raptor Lake, Alder Lake, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors that use the LGA 1700 socket. This is the complete list of CPUs used with this motherboard.
The amount of USB connectivity is limited, with five ports being offered. These slots are as follows:
- A single Type-A USB 3.2 Gen2 port
- A USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C connector.
- Two Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectors
- A pair of USB 2.0 Type-A ports (located in the front)
Connectivity to a network can be achieved using a Realtek RTl8111H 1Gbps LAN controller. When the firm introduced Windows 11, Microsoft was adamant that third-party module version 2.0 (TPM 2.0) support be included; nevertheless, the business decided to permit TPM 1.0 instead. However, it does support the newest version of DirectX 12, which offers improved visuals.
The MSI H610TI-S01 is a motherboard from the company’s PRO Series, designed specifically for “professional workloads.” While the DDR circuit provides a memory boost and is segregated to ensure longevity and performance, MSI’s layout and digital power design deliver the core boost. The business puts its motherboards through over 7,000 hours’ worth of validation testing before selling them. The motherboard’s compatibility with hundreds of different goods is checked by this feature to guarantee that it will meet the requirements of all users.
The CPU, the system as a whole, the temperature, and the speed are all monitored by the motherboard manufactured by MSI. This ensures that the system is secure and durable even under heavy use. The motherboard depends on the processor for the visuals to be correctly rendered. The only drawback is that there is no GPU input.
Previous MSI PRO H610M boards were priced between 659 and 699. However, we are not aware of any plans for a release in the United States. The motherboard is not presently available.
