Pokémon Scarlet and Violet speed glitch: Miraidon and Koraidon take to the skies

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone to learn that another issue has been found in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet because both games have been plagued with problems since they were released in November.

This time around, however, instead of unsuitable Wigletts, people experiencing a tremendous growth spurt, or the mount Pokémon disappearing beneath your character, Miraidon and Koraidon will get the opportunity to fly across the landscape at breakneck speeds. You, too, can transform your legendary Pokémon into a jet engine, albeit it will require some effort and planning. Just be careful not to throw out your meal in the process.

The video that can be found above, uploaded to YouTube by LuckyPunch, demonstrates how simple it is to have your legendary Pokémon glide at absurdly high speeds all over the map. You won’t be able to trigger this bug if you merely launch yourself from the nearest Pokémon Center or a rock that is only moderately high.

Instead, you will want to move to a relatively high location, such as the peak of Glaseado Mountain, as seen in the video. If you don’t feel like climbing a mountain, plenty of alternative high-up spots will work just as well; however, you will likely not go as quickly.

The glitch is activated by rapidly opening the glider your Pokémon is using while in the air and holding either the left or right joystick button. After each fall, you must hit the B button quickly, aim to the left or right, and then push the forward joystick button. This will cause your glider to emerge from the ground.

If you keep doing this, you will soon be flying at such a high speed that you will be fooled into thinking that your Pokémon performed the Extreme Speed move. Use this bug while you still can, for the developers will inevitably fix it at some point.

Since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released, problems have occurred similar to this one. The Shiny duplication issue was one of the most noteworthy ones discovered in the early days of the game’s release. These bugs are often fixed as soon as they are found, but while they are still present, they offer a lot of entertainment.
