Warning: the following text contains spoilers for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. If you do not wish to learn anything about the new games, do not continue reading. Fans of Pokémon were able to get early versions of Scarlet and Violet, which led to the spread of photographs and information regarding the game over the internet.

Now that leakers have access to the games’ files, they are uncovering names and codes in the files that aren’t included in the game. The data about a new convergent species of Magikarp and Gyarados, similar to Wiglett, was discovered by fans inside the codes.

Instead of the divergent forms of Tentacool and Tentacruel are known as Toedscool and Toedscruel, divergent Magikarp and Gyarados were going to be included in the games. In the game’s file, the data for Toedscruel is still referred to as OKAGYARADOSU, which suggests that the renaming occurred late in the production process.

The leak does not reveal the appearance of the Pokémon that would be created if Magikarp and Gyarados were to divide. In light of the fact that Toedscool and Toedscruel turned out to be walking mushrooms rather than jellyfish, diverging Magikarp and Gyarados could have been more terrestrial species.

On our end, though, that is purely speculative thinking. There is also a chance that deviant Magikarp and Gyarados will be included in the game later on as new downloadable material.

Tentacool and Tentacruel were supposed to have been Magikarp and Gyarados’ Convergent Species back when the game was first designed.

In point of fact, Toedscruel is still operating under the codename OKAGYARADOSU; they didn’t even bother to modify it. pic.twitter.com/VK2SRk3GHm

Convergent Pokémon is a species of Pokémon that appear and behave extremely similarly to Pokémon that have been seen in the wild before but are considered to be their own distinct species. For instance, the Pokémon Wiglett is a convergent evolution of Diglett.

Wiglett is a Pokémon that resembles an eel but has the body shape of a mole. Diglett, on the other hand, is a mole-like Pokémon that buries its entire body under the earth. However, despite their striking similarities in appearance and behavior, each Pokémon is classified as its own unique species.

The release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is scheduled on November 18. The setting of the game is the Paldea Region, which is modeled after the Iberian Peninsula in Europe. The game draws a significant amount of inspiration from the civilizations of Spain, and Portugal, as well as Central and South America. The evolutions of the three beginning Pokémon, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, were among the Pokémon that were discovered to have been stolen during the past several weeks.
