It appears that NVIDIA has decided to produce a Founders Edition version of its upcoming gaming graphics card, which will be the GeForce RTX 4070.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will be available in a Founders Edition variant with a 200W thermal design power consumption and AD104-250/251 graphics processing units.
The next NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 product to hit store shelves will be the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, which is part of the GeForce RTX 40 series. A few days ago, we reported that the graphics card would be entering into total production by the middle of February. It seems like that is the case, given the firm already has a Founders Edition version in the works, so it’s safe to assume that our prediction was accurate.
Our colleagues at RedGamingTech appear to have been the first to obtain images of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition graphics card’s retail box. Although the product’s exterior seems to be highly similar to that of other products, the interior of the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 FE graphics cards is rather distinct.
Additionally, although the packaging appears to be legitimate and utilizes the same design scheme as other products, the holder or the cut-out that the actual card will be inserted in is far smaller than the one that we saw on our RTX 4090 and 4080 packages, this indicates that there will be an entirely new design for the Founders Edition.

The following images are of the official packaging for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition:
Although not all of the card’s measurements can be seen from the rear, the width of the card is specified as 112 millimeters, which is considerably narrower than the 137 millimeters selected for the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 cards (Founders Edition). In addition, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will, as was to be anticipated, arrive with the PCIe Gen5 cable adapter and use a design that employs a 2x 8-pin layout comparable to that of the great majority of RTX 4070 Ti AIB cards.
The explanation for why NVIDIA did not release a Founders Edition graphics card for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is rather amusing. Before the card was unlaunched and relaunched as the RTX 4070 Ti, NVIDIA planned to utilize the same cooler that was used on the RTX 4080 on the card. Because NVIDIA did not have sufficient time to produce a substantial amount of brand-new coolers branded with the appropriate RTX 4070 Ti branding, the company decided to introduce the product instead. Earlier, Moore’s Law is Dead also disclosed some renderings of the design of the GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition graphics card, which appears to have a flow-through fan arrangement and a typical 2-slot design configuration.
Regarding the technical parameters, we are unsure what the final configuration will be; however, we know that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will use the AD104-250/251 GPU core, which will reach a maximum of 200W TGP. The graphics processing units (GPUs) AD104-250 and AD104-251 are almost identical, and the latter GPU will not be included in the RTX 4060 as we had anticipated. Instead, the chip with designation 251 will use a slightly different circuit, as HKEPC has pointed out. This will result in cheaper BOM costs (about $1 less), and it will also assist in the minor improvement of power efficiency.
Update : The only difference between AD104-250 and AD104-251 is that AD104-250 requires kicker (comparator) circuit, and AD104-251 doesn’t. PCB BOM reduced by ~US$1 . @VideoCardz

We also pointed out that the graphics card would feature the PG141 SKU 345/343 PCB architecture, which is supposed to be very small in size. Previous leaks have hinted at comparable specifications, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 boasting 5888 CUDA cores and 12 GB GDDR6X VRAM clocked at 21 Gbps.
