Leakers have taken to the internet to share all of the Pokémon goodness that has not yet been made public in preparation for the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the newest installments in the unstoppable Pokémon franchise. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are coming out soon.
Fans are getting a sneak peek of the highly anticipated title, which includes what appear to be some terrifying bosses. New game mechanics, as well as a wide variety of Pokémon being added to the roster, are also part of this sneak peek.
The image that was stolen appears to be a screenshot taken from a boss battle. This can be determined by the image having a unique title suffix and having a larger health bar than is typically seen in other stolen screenshots for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
The Pokémon trainer in the screenshot is dwarfed by the size of the sandworm, which is easily more than twice as tall as the trainer even when the trainer is lying down. Orthworm wouldn’t be the first giant Pokémon boss in the franchise, but whoever designed this monstrosity definitely succeeded in instilling a sense of low-poly terror within the player.
It is currently unknown whether or not a version of the Orthworm will exist that players will be able to capture and add to their teams. Since the leaked images do not include a functional Pokédex and the leakers have not revealed any additional information, the majority of the information regarding Orthworm in the game will remain a mystery until Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are made available for purchase officially.
Fans need to be aware that leaks should not be trusted, especially in situations where rumors and leaks are circulating quickly and in a large numbers. Because they cannot be verified, it is much too easy for images and data to be fabricated as a hoax or spoofed as a form of deception.
In addition, it is highly unlikely that either Nintendo or The Pokémon Company will come forward to confirm the authenticity of the leaks that have taken place up until this point. Waiting for the full release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the most reliable way to check whether or not the information that was stolen is accurate.
