The classic video game Among Us has been reimagined into a first-person, 3D experience called Among Us VR. The game was released on Meta Quest and Steam on November 10, however, some players are curious about whether or not the latest offering is free.

As a way of saying “thank you” to customers for their support of the main product, game developers will occasionally give away free copies of new game modes or games to the general public. Is that the case with Among US VR, or will gamers have to pay a fee to participate in the game?

The Among Us VR expansion pack, which can be purchased for $9.99 on Steam and the Meta Quest shop, includes more content in addition to the core game. The game itself is not overly expensive; however, in order to play Among Us VR, you will need a virtual reality headset in addition to other pieces of equipment, which can drive up the total cost.

Only matches with a maximum of 10 players are available in Among Us VR, and the bare minimum is just four. The only game that can be played in virtual reality is Skeld, which takes place in a space station and was the game’s default level when it was first released. The Among Us VR game adheres to the same guidelines and objectives as the original edition of the game.

The honest members of the crew need to find out who the imposters are and then perform the duties that are spread out over the station. The Imposters are tasked with eliminating all of the crewmates and have access to the stage’s ventilation systems in order to move around. All of the players have access to a button that, when pressed, brings all of the other players into a room together where they can talk to one another using proximity chat and vote to eliminate one of the players.

The first version of Among Us was released in 2018, and it quickly became a phenomenon all over the world just as the global 2020 COVID Pandemic was getting started. Because of its popularity among young people and on YouTube, this game was for a time considered to be one of the most popular in the entire world. Since its initial release, the game has received a number of updates, some of which added new in-game currencies, roles for the crewmates, and cosmetics.
