In God of War: Ragnarok, the favor known as the Garden for the Dead will have you working to purge a garden that is full of various types of poison. The Garden’s poison kills all plants that try to grow there, and a spirit that resides there is in need of your aid in removing the poison so it can find some relief.

At this spot, in order to cleanse the region, you will need to destroy the adjacent totems. In God of War: Ragnarok, the following is all the information you need to know in order to finish Garden for the Dead.

You will be responsible for locating three different totems. You should be able to locate a small entrance behind one of the poison totems if you look to the immediate left of the location where you started this quest. You may destroy the totem by throwing your Leviathan Axe at the explosive jar that is located at the entrance. This will force the jar to explode and bring down the totem.

The second one is located in front of the ghost, and it will tell you about the task that is to your left. You are going to have to navigate your way around the totem and have a peek beyond the wall. You will find another explosive jar that you need to strike in order to destroy the totem and get rid of the debris in this area.

The last totem presents a challenge that is a little bit tougher to overcome. You may also discover it in the southeast corner of the region, close to the spirit that granted you the favor in the first place. You will have to travel around the totem by freezing it first and then proceeding to the building on the right side of the screen. You will have to scale a wall in order to proceed.

After climbing to the very top of the building, you will have a more advantageous vantage point from which to view the explosive jar hanging behind the totem. Bring back your Axe and use it to hurl it at the rope that is holding the jar in order to smash the last remaining totem. It is now possible for you to accomplish the mission by going back to the spirit.
