During a recent question and answer session on Twitter, the user damontae99 posed the question to Boon regarding the potential of a Mortal Kombat fighter appearing in MultiVersus. Boon gave a witty reaction to the question, stating that “[t]hat would be risky for me to respond.”

Because Ed Boon is notorious for providing his admirers misleading information, it is always a good idea to take everything that Ed Boon provides on Twitter with a grain of salt, even if the information seems to make sense. However, enthusiasts with keen eyes have datamined MultiVersus and found files for Scorpion and Sub-Zero, the two ninja mascots that are associated with the Mortal Kombat franchise.
