Ed Boon, the designer of the Mortal Kombat video game franchise, has provided a response to a fan inquiry concerning the inclusion of a Mortal Kombat character in MultiVersus. During a recent question and answer session on Twitter, the user damontae99 posed the question to Boon regarding the potential of a Mortal Kombat fighter appearing in MultiVersus. Boon gave a witty reaction to the question, stating that “[t]hat would be risky for me to respond.”

Because Ed Boon is notorious for providing his admirers misleading information, it is always a good idea to take everything that Ed Boon provides on Twitter with a grain of salt, even if the information seems to make sense. However, enthusiasts with keen eyes have datamined MultiVersus and found files for Scorpion and Sub-Zero, the two ninja mascots that are associated with the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is the owner of NetherRealms Studio, the company responsible for developing Mortal Kombat. The live-action Mortal Kombat movie that was released in 2021 was developed and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie was made available on HBO Max, a streaming service owned by Warner Bros., on the same day it was released.

It is difficult to determine whether or whether Boon’s response on Twitter was made in good faith. Warner Bros. Media and the Player First Games studio have not made any formal announcements regarding the inclusion of a Mortal Kombat character in MultiVersus. In spite of this, there is a sufficient amount of evidence to suggest that Mortal Kombat fighters will be able to participate in MultiVersus. We have a hunch that Scorpion and Sub-Zero will make an appearance in the game in order to cross-promote a new Mortal Kombat project, which could be another game or the sequel to the live-action film.

The most well-known characters from the many properties held by Warner Bros. are pitted against one another in the fighting game MultiVersus. New characters like Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, and Gizmo have been introduced to the game, making it one of the greatest fighting games that supports crossplay.

The fighting game franchise known as Mortal Kombat is famous for its extreme level of gore as well as its cast of lovable characters. The most current installment of the Mortal Kombat series is Mortal Kombat 11, which came out in April of this year (2019).
