Disney Speedstorm delayed into 2023

Disney Speedstorm plans to be a free-to-play alternative to the popular racing video game Mario Kart. The game will allow players to compete alongside their favorite Disney characters on courses that are based on the films produced by Disney. Even though it may sound like a magical experience, you will have to wait a little longer before you can get behind the wheel. The release of Disney Speedstorm has been pushed back until 2023.

The information was shared on the official Twitter account for the game. It’s a common reason for video game delays these days — some titles just need more time to cook. “With this in mind and after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the worldwide release of Disney Speedstorm to meet our expectations.” That is preferable to releasing an experience that is either broken or lacking in its entirety.

There was no mention of a specific release date beyond the window in 2023, so the potential arrival date of the kart racer is subject to a large degree of uncertainty. You are able to pre-register for the game at this time, and if you do so, you will be one of the first people to find out directly from the developer when a release date has been set.
