It has been over a year and a half since the first-person shooter game Deathloop, based on the concept of time loops, was developed by Arkane Lyon. It wasn’t a huge commercial success like most of the games made by the company, but it did pretty well with gaming enthusiasts and reviewers alike. Additionally, it was honored with other accolades, most notably Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction, at The Game Awards ceremony held the previous year.
The voice actor for Colt Vahn, Jason Kelley, may have launched a new rumor unintentionally, and it may hint at a Deathloop DLC or sequel that is already in development. Kelley was the subject of a video interview conducted by Streamily one month ago. He was joined in the conversation by Ozioma Akagha, the actress who provided the voice of Colt’s adversary Julianna Blake.
During the interview, Kelley was questioned on his recollection of the code names that Arkane had been employing for the Deathloop auditions. After providing his response that both actors were still working under those code names, he instantly realized that he shouldn’t have shared this specific piece of information with anyone.
Yes. I cannot disclose them since, despite our best efforts, they sometimes continue to hire us under the code names. Did I make a mistake by saying something I shouldn’t have?
Ozioma Akagha, on the other hand, did the right thing and chose the prudent path.
I am…I don’t know his name, Spider-Man, the character he portrays….
I guess you could say that I’m Tom Holland of everything. They don’t share anything with me since I can’t seem to learn when to be quiet. Therefore, I am utterly ignorant on every subject.
When we consider the past of Arkane, we see that the first Dishonored game was supported by two downloadable content packs that focused on the game’s narrative: The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. In contrast, the standalone expansion Dishonored: Death of the Outsider came out after the release of the second game in the series. Arkane Austin’s Prey received not one but two downloadable content packs after its initial release: Mooncrash and Typhon Hunter. Neither of these packs, however, included any new plot beats.
At this point, it is anyone’s guess what Arkane Lyon will do next with Deathloop, but be assured that we will report on it here as soon as any more rumors or official news becomes available. The core experience may be played on the PlayStation 5, personal computers, and Xbox Series S|X. (including Game Pass).
