Even though the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards from NVIDIA aren’t scheduled to be released until the first week of January, a retailer in Serbia has already begun selling them to customers.
A Retailer in Serbia Is Already Offering the Upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Graphics Card for the Price of USD 1,400.
This specific Serbian merchant has the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming model advertised on their website. This graphics card comes with a solution with three slots and three fans, making it suitable for triple-slot configurations. The price of this card is 172229 RSD, which accounts for VAT and is equivalent to around USD 1550. Users who pay for their purchases in cash are eligible for an additional discount of 10% from the shop, bringing the total price to $1,400 in the United States.
A Reddit user from Serbia explains why this is the case, even though the price is still far higher than the suggested retail price of even the RTX 4080. It is said that Serbia’s technology market is dominated by a duopoly, as well as by avaricious merchants and customs officials who impose high charges and taxes on technology items.
It is said that the RTX 4080 can be purchased at retail for $1700 US (an increase of $500 US compared to the MSRP), but the RTX 4090 can be purchased at retail for a minimum of $2500 US (an increase of 900 US compared to the MSRP). This pricing is not even close to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, which should be less than one thousand dollars once the prohibition on actual retail sales is lifted.

“Officially Licensed” Specifications for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will feature the “Ada Lovelace” AD104-400 GPU configuration. This full-fat SKU will have 7,680 cores or 60 SMs active, making it the most potent card version. The graphics processing unit (GPU) will come with a 192-bit bus interface and 48 megabytes (MB) of L2 cache, which is why we are receiving up to 12 GB of GDDR6X capacity. Memory is stated to be operating at rates of 21 Gbps, which results in a bandwidth of 504 GB/s for the memory. Although the card is said to have a boost clock frequency of 2610 MHz, the actual peak frequency will be greater.
- “Official” Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 285 Watts for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB
- “Official” Thermal Design Power of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB is 290W.
In terms of power, the TBP is now slated to be rated at 285W, which is a drop of 35W compared to the RTX 3080 10 GB model and a decrease of 5W in contrast to the RTX 3070 Ti. The new graphics card is anticipated to have a performance that is superior to that of the RTX 3080; however, because its specifications will be inferior to those of the 4080 16 GB, there will be a significant performance gap between the two models, estimated to be between 30 and 40 percent.
